 Celebrating SportNI SportMaker 2025 Officials Week! 

Our Number 1 Official is our very own Frank Stevens!

Frank is one of the most respected and well known Swimming Officials in Ireland and we’re proud to have him as part of Leander for nearly 40 years.  He is regularly seen at our Home Galas (and sometimes Away too!) & Time Trials with his air horn keeping everyone in order in addition to his extensive regional and national officiating roles. 

Not only is Frank a leading Official, worthy recipient of the British Empire Medal (BEM), Chair of Swim Ulster Competition Committee and responsible for training and assessing the next generation of officials but he is also a key part of our coaching team, volunteering his time on a weekly basis teaching our youngest club members. Everyone wants to stay in ‘Frank’s pool’
